Wychwood Day Care

Day care at Wychwood is very flexible with options ranging from one day to seven days a week. Some day care residents choose to commit to regular attendance, whereas others participate on an ad hoc basis. Wychwood does require twenty four hours notice before booking in a day care resident.

This service may benefit the elderly members of the local community who may find that a loved one, who normally keeps an eye on their welfare, has to be away for a business trip or a holiday. Other day care residents, who can feel lonely and isolated at home, like to attend in order to enjoy the companionship, stimulation and interaction offered by staff and other Wychwood residents.

Day care residents benefit from the same facilities as do permanent residents. These include:

• allocation of own room with bed
• assisted bathing and personal care
• meals, drinks and snacks
• administration of medications, where required
• access to individual and group activities
• preplanned trips to hairdressers, dentists, local shops
• the company of fellow residents
• access to local GP, if required
